Corentin Moutet, first Frenchman in Roland-Garros second week since 2020
A promising career that is finally taking off
Corentin Moutet had not reached the second week of a Grand Slam tournament since 2020. Thanks to a victory against Nicolas Jarry, he reached the last 16 at Roland-Garros for the first time in his career.
A first in his career
The Frenchman had never reached the second week of a Grand Slam tournament. He had reached the last 16 at Roland-Garros in juniors but not in seniors. He has just achieved it despite a complicated draw. He had to face Stan Wawrinka in the first round and Sebastian Ofner in the second. He also had to play three sets to win his first two matches.
